CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE DETAILED DESIGN, ESIA, CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE REHABILITATION OF AHMED GATE – KARARE (A2) AND LAKE PARADISE – ARJAMAKO (A2) JUNCTION ROADS IN MARSABIT NATIONAL PARK

Project Description

The assignment entails the Provision of Consultancy Services for Consultancy Services for the Detailed Design, ESIA, Construction Supervision and Contract Administration for the Rehabilitation of Ahmed Gate – Karare (A2) and Lake Paradise – Arjamako (A2) Junction Roads in Marsabit National Park

The project roads are located within the Marsabit National Park and serves as the main access road to and through the park. There are two road sections; the main section is approximately 21.6 km long starting at Karare Gate (A2) Junction on the Isiolo – Laisamis – Marsabit – Moyale Road (A2) extending to Ahmed Gate in the outskirts of Marsabit Town. The other road section is some 4.3 km long and branches off at Lake Paradise to Arjamako Junction (Road A2).

This road network is used by tourists to gain access to Lake Paradise and Campsite and the Marsabit Lodge / Crater Lake which are ideal destinations for game drives and lodging facilities.
